Reasons to Hope: A Democrat with an Attitude

We deleted this picture because we’re afraid of the copyright lawsuit analattorneys.

This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is Mister Harry Reid, majority leader in the US Senate. And he recently did two things that are quite fucking amazing.

  1. He challenged the conservative presidential candidate Mitt Romney to reveal his tax reports. He hinted at an anonymous accusation that Romney had not paid millions of due taxes in the past. Romney reacted with outrage, calling Reid everything from coward to lier – and refused to reveal his tax reports. PURE – FUCKING – CLASSIC. Anybody else need proof of how gigantonormous of a dingleberry Romney really is??
  2. At an energy conference he said something that was LONG overdue to be said by someone high up the Washington pecking order: “It’s time to stop acting like critics of climate change have a valid point. They don’t!” Yes! Thank You! Finally! It is a very frightening fact that only 3 (in words: three) (THREE !!!!) percent of the scientific world deny climate change but about 40 (FORTY !!!) percent of the public believe them. So almost every scientist says that climate change exists but almost half of all people choose to believe what the three (THREE FOR FUCKS SAKE!!) percent minority is saying? How incomprehensibly retarded is that? Just another proof for the retardation of the masses…

Your argument is just bullshit. 97% say “yes”, 3 % say “no”. So what? The majority is always right? Look back in history and see to what that argument is leading us to.
Stay hungry for critic(s). Still, there is a reason to hope, if the US government finally accepts that our climate is changing. I’m not saying it isn’t, and I’m not denying anything. Just think about your arguments…

you’re right that the majority is not always right. BUT this is not the majority of the people, where there’s a high percentage of brainless fucktards in there. BUT a majority of experts. And we’re not talking about war or propaganda here, this is an environmental issue, fighting climate change will cost an immense amount of money. It’s not like there’s serious issue for concern that this might be a bought majority because the economic interest clearly lies with the critics.

Stay hungry for critics? Always. But I’m fed up with people dragging on the most pressing issue of our time. And yes, i just said most pressing. Not even war, hunger oder poverty seem more pressing to me than fighting climate change. Because, well, I trust you know the scenarios of a 5 degree increase in world temperature…
